These newspapers, called “Soviet Sport,” are still beyond my capability to read Russian at this point, but they will help later on. I got them more out of interest initially, but I am finding I can make out parts of articles here and there. For 1981 papers they are in excellent condition. Anna packaged them very well and shipped them promptly, as she always does. I have purchased a number of items from Anna over the several years I have known about her shop, and I have never been disappointed or had any issues. Hers is a “favorited” shop of mine and I will always keep an eye on what she has, or ask her help in obtaining a particular item. She is always very helpful.

Having bought some nice things in the past several years from Anna’s shop and been totally satisfied, I asked if she would mind finding me some really nice Petrykivka pieces. She did indeed! These are lovely, and I am very pleased with them. I buy them to use, although the plate is meant as a decoration and will be hung on a wall to protect and enjoy it. Shipping was average for the present period with some minor slow downs here in USA, but about 3 weeks to the Northeast from Kiev. Anna’s packaging is always very good; I have never received anything but perfect merchandise. If you have something in mind but cannot find it, or you are unsure of what you might get, ask Anna. This little Raven, or Crow, is a wonderful Steiff toy. It’s very soft and pleasant for a small child. I had Steiff toys as a child which were made of wool. Though they were beautifully made, they were not as soft as this Raven. I keep some children’s toys as I am occasionally visited by young children when the parents come by. Anna packaged this toy very well, as always, and it arrived within two weeks to Eastern USA. I have purchased a number of things from Anna’s shop over the past several years, and I have always been totally satisfied with the products and Anna’s service.

This chess set is beautiful! I had Anna find it for me, and simply told her I wanted a genuine, Soviet era chess set with weighted pieces. She found two very nice sets and I opted for this one, which is bigger. The kings are 10cm (4”) tall and the board is 45cm square, (17.5”.) it has been used but is in wonderful shape. Anna packaged it very well, and wrapped each piece individually for the journey. She shipped it very quickly after my purchase. I opted for UPS expedited shipping to USA from Kiev, so I received it within about 4 days. I am only just learning chess, but hope to get involved playing the game with others very soon. This set is completely portable, so it will lend itself very nicely to traveling. I’m sure I will enjoy this set for many years. Thank you Anna! I’ll be back to your shop!
