Announcement    Our social enterprise called Weaving Destination, aims to promote the finest ethical silk and vintage-inspired cotton print fabrics and products hand-woven by indigenous women from Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Assam, India.

Weaving Destination was established in India as a Social Enterprise of the NEDAN Foundation, a charity based in the BTC, Assam, North East India. It has provided a platform for creating social and economic empowerment for indigenous vulnerable women, survivors of human trafficking and HIV, through promoting their hand-woven fabrics. The women’s involvement and products are based on fair-trade principles, where women are engaged as partners in their own socio-economic development.

The products are made of organic raw materials, including use of vegetable natural colour dyes and non-violent silk rearing practice, while preserving the local community art of weaving through a women's weaving collective. 100% of the profits from your purchase will go directly to the Weaving Destination weavers and to the charitable work of the NEDAN Foundation in Assam, India.
