Announcement
Hello and welcome to Where the Gods Live. After a hiatus of the last couple of years, I am reopening my shop. I am a carver who mainly works in horn, and also on occasion bone and antler. My work is primarily inspired by Germanic Mythology, Celtic Mythology, Greek Mythology, some popular culture, and the natural world.
If you would like to see my work in person, I also do a number of events throughout the year also. You can come and find me at the following:
Central Florida Highland Games
Arizona Renaissance Festival
Georgia Renaissance Festival
Tennessee Renaissance Festival
Bristol Renaissance Festival
Dragon Con
Maryland Renaissance Festival
I'm not currently taking any custom orders outside of items I regularly carve. Thanks for having a look!

5 out of 5 starsThis is the second hunting horn I have purchased from this shop, and probably not the last. The horn is beautiful. This one is smaller than my first purchase and thus has a higher tone. If you are going to use these as actual hunting horns for communication in the woods, be aware that the smaller/higher tones carry better. Each horn has two reachable notes. The upper note on this horn is extremely loud and perfect for the purpose. The mouthpiece was a little off center and needed to be sanded down a little, which is easy to do. Also I find that adding beeswax and shaping the mouthpiece helps immensely in blowing it. If you are not a brass player you will need to practice quite a bit to get the upper tone consistently, especially on the smaller horns. It's worth it if you want a beautiful and very loud horn :D

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful horn, fast shipping and carefully packed. The tones are lovely, a few cents flat of Bflat for the lower one, and a few cents flat of C# for the higher one. The mouthpiece end was a bit rough, not quite centered, and needed sanding. I'm adding and shaping some beeswax there the same way I would a didgeridoo, for more comfortable lips. I do appreciate that the mouth end is just shaped horn, rather than a glued on metal mouthpiece! This makes for a much more authentic feel, lighter weight, and more flexibility to customize the shape as I like. I will also try to reinforce the outer edge somehow, as it is thin and I am pretty rough on my instruments. All in all this is a great buy and I will be getting another one soon.
