This is my third headband from this shop--love, love, love these unique headbands. Kari added cotton backing to this headband so that it would be more comfortable for my sensitive husband. This is his "dress-up" headband. It is gorgeous.

I listened to a lot of The Beatles growing up and my shop takes it's name from the lyrics of a Beatles song.
Assassin's hooded cloak I made my son for Halloween. One of the projects that got me excited about sewing again.
Fully lined bat cape I made my son. Another costume that made me realize I can do this!

I love creating custom hippie headbands from unique new and vintage trims!

A Barrow in the Marketplace started out a creative outlet for me as a stay-at-home-mom and has evolved into an awesome space where I can create unique headbands for my customers. I love making custom orders and changing things to suit each customers needs. Lately I have discovered vintage trims and am continuously seeking out vintage trims from all across the world to make truly unique headbands you won't be able to find anywhere else. When I'm not busy with my shop I love to get out into nature and spend time up at beautiful Lake Tahoe and at national parks all across the country. I have had a love for nature all through my life and as such I love to make products that are practical and durable for wearing outdoors whether it's for hiking, rock climbing, or just hanging out in your garden or yard. This love for nature is also reflected in my shipping supplies. I use minimal packaging and simple recycled paper tied with string. I also don't ship in plastic mailers but prefer to use simple paper envelopes that can be composted or recycled. I hope that you can appreciate this simplicity and minimal use of packaging to better help out the environment.

Sizing details

Each headband can be made whatever size you need. Head sizes are not one size fits all and I believe your headband shouldn't be either. Please view the sizing chart information on each headband and let me know what size you need in the "notes to seller" section during checkout so I can make a headband that fits YOU!

Sizing details

If you order a headband and it doesn't fit you, you may send it back to me (with your sizing information) at your expense and I'll make you a new one to fit you. You will then be responsible for the shipping costs to send the new one back to you.
