Bom dia!! As we say in Portuguese "good morning". I'm Angela, from one of the smallest islands in the world that you can't even see in the map, Macau, China. Despite its small size, Macau is also known as the Las Vegas of the Orient. I came to the US when I was 16 pursuing better opportunities and now I am an interior designer. My inspirations come from the artistic presentations of food and music. Sometimes I even see a drawing on a blank paper, all I need to do is to take the pencil in my hand and start tracing what I see.

You may ask, how did I come up with subway and country kite maps? The first subway map I painted was the Chicago Loop for a friend. She has a deep love for the city and decorated her office with different paintings of Chicago by various artists. I love traveling with public transportation and meeting people along the way. Remember what I said? I see a drawing in a blank paper! So I needed to paint this before it disappears. The magic began.

Delicately hand drawn on watercolor paper, softly brush stroked the paper leaving traces of vibrant colors, and final hand touched to perfection by me, creator of Afrocha Design with the goal of introducing to others a completely fresh and modern interpretation of subway systems and country string kite maps.

This famous quote inspired me one day to create functional art, "form follows function" by Sullivan. So I collaborated with another Etsy artist to create ironing board covers. More new home goods are to come!! Stay tuned for my T-shirts, aprons, and tote bags!
