Beautiful hand knits -- many spun from the wool donated regularly by our very own angora bunnies (the wool is collected during a humane, gentle haircut in a quiet, non-restrained manner - never plucked).

Find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/AngoraAmore! See pictures there of some of our bunny producers.

Angora Amore' is just that - we love our angora rabbits! Angora rabbit wool is wonderfully soft and incredibly warm (7 times warmer than wool).

Angora fiber is totally renewable, too. No, the rabbit is never killed to get the fiber but rather given a gentle, non-restrained haircut (essential to maintain health as a hairball in a rabbit can be fatal), similar to shearing a sheep for its wool, except our bunnies get a haircut about 3 times a year. Our bunnies are sheared when the coat reaches about 3 inches in length. Because we use this longer fiber and because our processing never includes exposure to harsh chemicals, our angora products are less prone to "shedding."

Our fiber goes straight from the bunny to the spinning wheel. All the angora yarn we use is hand spun from the fur of our own bunnies. The finished skeins are then washed and used in their natural shades or go on to be dyed many lovely colors.

Our products are all hand knit. We literally go from bunny to bootie!

The hang tag that comes with the product you purchase includes washing instructions (hand wash) and on 100% angora items will tell you the name of the bunny who donated the fiber that was used to produce your hat, mittens, socks, etc.

Our yarn doesn't have a dye lot -- it has a name!

We are a smoke-free shop.

All of our soap products have now moved to their own shop! Find them at www.etsy.com/shop/RabbitTreeSoaps
