I create paintings that make me and my family smile--I love to hear when they make someone else smile, too!

At my first solo gallery show in 2008, the gallery owners and my husband talked me into including some of my pen-and-ink illustrations. I thought they were too sweet and whimsical to be included, but I was shocked at the response they received on opening night. Since then, I've been (unapologetically) creating sweet and whimsical paintings and illustrations that make me happy to paint, happy to share, and make others happy as well!

I'm always on the lookout for new inspiration...moments in the garden, a trip to the library, favorite fairy tales. I love working on commissions, and the opportunities they present to challenge myself with something fresh and unique.
