I'm a graphic artist/cartoonist and have been drawing since early childhood. I also love learning new crafts. I originally started this Etsy shop with handmade jewelry involving beads, decorative knotwork, and modified hardware items.

One afternoon in July 2012 I was bored and doing an Internet search to see if I could make a valved trumpet out of PVC pipe. Turns out it's possible but difficult. While browsing information about homemade instruments I stumbled upon cigar box guitars. This old American folk art form appealed to my love of artwork, building, music, and history. I was not alone in this fascination and discovered a huge online community of makers and amateur luthiers willing to share what they'd learned about building these fun little instruments. I quickly contacted a local cigar shop to find out if they had any empty boxes. They did! Many were absolutely free and the "high end" boxes were just a dollar. I hopped in my car to grab one. Across the shopping center was a Lowe's where I bought wood and screws to build my new guitar. A guitar repair shop was the perfect source for fret wire, used tuners, and fret wire. Within two weeks, I had built my first cigar box guitar (which I still have and play). After building and selling several of these, my wife and I decided it was past time for me to do what I've always dreamed and start a business making and selling my art, costume props, and now my guitars and ukuleles.
I will gladly do custom cartoons (see my Etsy self-portrait for an example) as well as custom cigar box guitars. This shop will become a cornerstone of my expanding business.
