Announcement
Established in 1992 by Scott and Deborah Fillmer, Pieces of the Past, has grown into a custom shop where we spend more time one on one with each customer helping to design and create something special for each order. We specialize in custom crafted bags, quilts, clothing, memory items, and keepsake toys for children, made in the USA. Our handcrafted items are created by upcycling clothing, upholstery, leather, and other fabrics into unique functional items that can be useful today and then passed down to become heirlooms of tomorrow.
All of our items include recycled materials, such as denim, leather from jackets, upholstery fabrics, and any other materials we can keep from the landfill. Every item we make is created by hand. We use sewing machines and other equipment, but each item is individually created and one of a kind. Our items are not assembly line produced and, therefore, each has its own character and unique imperfections. None of our items are perfect but they are as near as we can get in quality craftsmanship.
Our specialties include a range of family keepsakes from Memory Pillows, T-shirt quilts, one of a kind (made to order) plush toys, and garments from individualized Christening Gowns to smocked clothing for everyday and special occasion wear. Please let us know what we can create for you!

5 out of 5 starsI am so happy that I found Deborah on Etsy. I had cross-stitched two stockings for my granddaughters, but was having a terrible time sewing the velvet back and lining that they needed. Deborah did an incredible job, and was fast. Her work is beautiful. I highly recommend her!
