This is Zoey & Joey, my art studio pets! They're painted yellow bellied slider turtles, and they live at the shop!
And this is me.
At my downtown shop I sell prints of my artwork, I paint custom paintings, and I teach watercolor classes.

About Audrey Shantz Art

I’ve loved art since I was little, always doodling on my papers in school. I was always fascinated by art, perspective, and how things work. Since my teen years I’ve loved color and design as well. I would take and leave art throughout my life, but I’d always come back to it.

My kids would ask me to sketch their Pokemon cards so they could color them in. Around that time I realized I wanted to try out something that had always seemed out of reach, but so dreamy- painting.

Learning through lots of different art teachers, I came to realize that yes, it helps to have some natural talent, but it’s a numbers game. If I painted and sketched every day and as much as possible, I would continue to improve. One million hours later, here I am. :) I am constantly studying art and learning new things. I am here to keep growing and learning as an artist.

When I paint I lose all track of space and time, and I love it
so much.

You’ll notice a lot of variety, color, and boldness in my art. My house is the same way. I like a lot of color pallets and a lot of topics, and I paint what I like. You never know what you’ll find in my shop.

I'm an Enneagram 7. I love beauty and making things beautiful. I have 5 kids. Three of them are biological and under three years apart, and two of them are adopted and a year and a half apart. They are hilarious and keep me laughing all the time.
