I was born and raised in rural Aurora, Nebraska. Having a love of art and creativity since I could hold a crayon, I attended Hillsdale College and received my BA in Studio Art in 2017. Since graduating, I have been a part of a number of local Nebraska art fairs and exhibitions.

Like many artists, my main source of inspiration is nature. Unlike others, I am deeply fascinated with the simple agrarian scenes in rural Nebraska. I have lived my life surrounded by cornfields and driving down dusty country roads, yet I never tire of observing their quiet beauty. Using a combination of plein air studies, reference photos, and memory, I paint in an impressionistic fashion with watercolor, oil, and acrylic. My biggest goal is to not only capture the beauty, but also the emotions in each scene in hopes that the viewer may come to feel the same.
