When my husband and I separated, I realized I had an opportunity to design my life in a way that fed my soul. Having been a homeschool mom for the previous 8 years, I knew that being single again meant a return to making my own income. But, I was determined to do more than just “make money”; I intended to make a life for myself and my beloved son.

So my search began for the perfect job. I put my intentions out into the universe for a career that would feed my spirit. What initially came back to me was Stones!? I have loved stones – magnificent or simple – for my entire life. Nothing draws me like a beautifully polished gemstone in a museum or a sparkling piece of granite in the asphalt. I have always had a scattering of stones in my home collected from beaches, forests, and roadsides … they are my treasures and I feel their positive energy. I love stones! But how could I make a living from stones?

I opened myself up to career possibilities that focused on stones. This led me to information about the healing properties of crystals and gemstones. Of course … I’ve always felt the positive vibrations of stones … discovering that stones have healing properties was like learning something I already knew in my soul.

More soul searching lead me to chakras … or should I say back to chakras … and the long time fascination I’ve had with the universal energy and how it affects our physical, mental and spiritual health, and to how crystals and gemstones can heal and balance these energy centers. But, I still did not see my path.

Then … the final piece of the puzzle. About this time, my Godmother, a lifelong crafter, began experimenting with jewelry making. I loved watching her create and shopping with her for interesting beads. I knew I would love to spend my days doing the same! There was my path!

I could think of no better way to spend my days that by making beautiful, colorful jewelry, that balances the chakras, made from my beloved gemstones!

Two years later, I still love every moment I spend with the precious stones that eventually become beautiful healing jewelry for my customers. Sometimes I stop and look around my work table at the bounty of gemstones and crystals that I get to work with and I feel like the luckiest, most blessed woman in the world!
