I spent most of my childhood drawing and painting, my skills evolved and developed and I was able to get to the point where I was making lino and gyotaku prints from my little studio by the sea in Tynemouth, UK.

You can probably see from my artwork that the sea is my inspiration. It was hard not to be inspired by the ever changing environment outside my front door; from dramatic winters with the waves crashing over the north pier, to glorious summers where the sun sparkles off the sea and the smell of fish and chips and ice-cream fills the air.

Though after a lifetime by the sea, I have recently moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and I'm looking forward to the lakes and mountains being my new inspiration. Though the UK waters will always be a source of inspiration for me and that will clearly be displayed in the artwork I create.
