ELCE. is an ethical and sustainable brand that utilizes 100% biodegradable materials by avoiding the use of stretch and elastic in our garments. All of our fabrics are plant dyed in Bali and organic whenever possible. Our pieces are built to last and integrate into your life, with an emphasis on utilitarian design.
Our Dye House
We work with a Balinese dye house that utilizes local plants and sustainable methods to color our textiles. Their employees are treated and paid ethically, and their waste water is used for farming.
Our Production
We produce all of our garments with a small local team whom receive ethical wages and treatment. A team of 8 people make all of our garments slowly and carefully.
Our Textiles
Whenever possible we source organic fabrics, however as we attempt to move away from 100% cotton fabrics (due to immense amounts of water required for farming) many of the alternatives are not yet available in organic - we hope to slowly become 100% organic as our brand continues to grow.
We currently use the following textiles:
GOTS certified organic cotton
GOTS certified organic cotton hemp blend
non organic TENCEL cotton blend
Microplastics
ELCE. strives to avoid the use of plastics and non biodegradable materials whenever possible. This means our garments do not utilize elastic or metal hardware. When your garments life comes to an end after years of wear you can dispose of it knowing it will create a minimal impact on the environment and eventually return itself to earth by biodegrading, without leaving behind remnants of elastic, metal and micro plastic.
Packaging
We utilize 100% biodegradable packaging for all of our orders, because our environmental impact matters greatly to us, your order comes in cotton and paper - not plastic and all of our information is printed on recycled paper.
Wash your garments by hand in cool water, hang or lay flat to dry.
