5 out of 5 starsLove this pocket square with its shibori...watercolor effect. The silk has a wonderful flowing quality, as well, and it's just the right size. I really dislike the look of large, bulky pocket squares. The colors were a little more muted than expected, but they blend well. Great communication and support. Thanks so much!

A day in the life - I first create a design, draw resist lines (if needed) on the silk, then mix & hand apply the dye. -
A day in the life - Often I know the colors I want to use before I start, this time each color inspired the next. -
A day in the life - The silk dye has to dry and then it's off to the steamer for the colors to set. -
A day in the life - I hand wash (removes resist), hang dry & iron the silk...it’s ready for its closeup (sold Jan ‘17). -

Custom and personalized orders
I'm happy to discuss creating a custom piece if you see something you'd like in a different color and/or size, or even a completely custom design.

Gift wrapping and packaging
Gift wrapping is available on select items for an additional fee. Choose the 'Gift Wrap' option, where available.
Each gift item is individually wrapped in tissue paper in a gift box then wrapped in gift paper with ribbon that best compliments the item (see 'About' section photo for examples).
Gift tag is included. You may provide gift tag text in 'Personalization' or send me a note, otherwise, the tag will be left blank.
I'm happy to discuss any custom wrapping requests.
Notes: An invoice is never included in a gift shipment.
Shipping boxes and packing materials are reused when possible.
The shipping address can vary from the billing address.
Shipping within the USA only (50 states and D.C).
Care instructions
Complete care instructions are included with each piece.
- Gently hand wash separately in cold water with a drop of a mild soap, rinse.
- Roll in a towel to remove excess moisture and lay flat or hang* to dry.
- To iron, use the 'silk' setting while the fabric is slightly damp or along with the steam feature, if dry.
For chiffon, or if a metallic or raised design is present, do not iron directly on the fabric (use a plain cotton handkerchief or pillowcase between iron & item).
*Chiffon: Note that its loose weave causes chiffon to shrink slightly when wet. To restore the scarf to its original shape, after removing excess moisture, reshape it and lay flat or hang to dry.
Note: Do NOT dry clean or machine wash Designs By Bobbi J items.

All items are crafted in a smoke-free environment.
A cat resides in the home (as of Jan. 2021) but does not have access to the room where the finished items are stored and packaged for shipping.
