I have been making soap for several years now, mostly basic bars just for fun. I believe the very first time I made soap was a glycerin melt and pour soap for my daughters. I purchased some for them in Blues Clues theme (I'm showing my age) and thought how fun that would be to learn to make soap for my kids. It was a relaxing hobby and one I could let me kids help me with.
Once you get the soap bug, other methods become all too interesting as well. I wanted to try cold process soap but at that time my girls were so little and I was afraid of working with lye while they were around, so I was very limited to when I could do it. It was far and few in between. As they got older and more aware of what I was doing it became much easier to make soap.
Since that time I have learned to add color and techniques that are fun and unique. I never seem to make batch that is the same twice. I like this though because I feel like I can create something new all the time and that is what's fun to me. Soap making is an art form and FUN!
I hope you like what I list and thank you for looking!
