Photography is the other half of my creative shell. Specifically wedding photography!
This 3 and a half month Painting journey throught the 50 United States was nothing short of an adventure!
Minnesota is my home state! And the first I painted in my Watercolor state series.
My Botanical Herbs are one of my shop's most popular item! They were my first "series" and I still love them!
My flower collection is always being added to!

Emilie's Watercolor story

Painting was a medium I didn't try out much as a child, outside the regular corner sun and stick people my art was nothing special. I found watercolor a little later in life. One long winter at the end of 2016 I decided I needed a hobby, and a small step turned into a full jump! What I thought was just a pastime became my full-time career!

I love the drastic finishes watercolor can have, from really realistic to watery and whimsical. I find myself drawn to painting more realistic and have developed my style that I call "Cartoon Realism"

Most recently Landscapes have become my favorite thing to paint. I love the idea of transporting, someone, to that scene and bringing back memories in vivid color!
