We work hard to help you create touching expressions which make one-of-a-kind gifts for the special people and occasions in your life. And we can help you create that perfect addition to your own home décor.
If you know you want something unique but are not sure what, we will work with you and your ideas to help create the very special expression you are looking for. We have designs which may completely fill your need, or we can easily tweak them so they become your perfect expression.
We package securely and most often use USPS Priority for shipping. We work on orders daily and try hard to create and ship all our items in a timely manner. If you need something in a hurry, let us know & we will try to help. And we are always happy to include a personal note if you are shipping directly to a gift recipient.
Our creations are not massed produced but each is unique and no two are exactly the same.
We do combine shipping. Once items are packaged we do refund on shipping/handling overages. Or you can send us an conversation for the items you are wanting along with your zip code and we can do listing for you.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
We can personalize or customize almost all of our products for you. We also have a Custom Section in our shop.
PLEASE, when you order a listed item, at checkout, put your complete request for customization or personalization in the NOTES TO SELLER section. For special custom orders we receive, we will (at your request) create up to two layouts for approval at no additional cost. Sorry, we do not do layouts until we receive the order.
There are additional charges for custom text over 100 words. The charge is $10 for text of 100 to 140 words - $20 for 140 to 180 words – over 180 words, please contact us. wordcounter.net
We reserve the right to reproduce custom orders. Our creations may not be reproduced without our written permission.
Gift wrapping and packaging
We offer the gift wrap option. If you are sending your purchase directly to a gift recipient, we will create and include a nice card (and omit the invoice) from you at no additional charge. When you order the sign, at checkout, just tell us what you want the card to say in the NOTES TO SELLER section.
Creation of Our Signs
Due to our signs being individually handmade no two signs are going to look exactly alike. They are hand-painted in our shop.
We work hard to buy the best wood but it may have an occasional small knot or slight imperfection.
Our process:
1. We design the layout on our computer.
2. Two separate coats of contrasting paint are hand applied to the wood.
3. It is then laser-engraved to reveal the text/graphic.
4. The edges are sanded & a coat of stain is applied to complete the rustic/antique look.
5. Our logo and a hanger are applied to the back.
Color Choices
We have the best contrasting colors listed.
The first color listed is the base coat of paint & is the text color. The second color is the top coat of paint & is the background color.
If you need a color not listed, contact us & we will try to accommodate.
Because the top coat is thinner, it often "takes a cast" from the bottom coat. For example on a Black/Antique White sign, the antique white may have a slight gray or blue cast to it. If you don't want that, please let us know & will apply a heavier topcoat.
Due to the difference in monitors, what you see on the screen may not be the exact color we use.
Do you keep signs in stock?
We do not keep completed signs in stock due to the number of sizes & colors we offer. We do keep an inventory of painted boards so that when an order comes in, we can get it finished rather quickly.
Wholesale availability
We do offer wholesale on certain products. We require a minimum order. Please contact us for details.
Exchanges and Returns: who pays for what?
No personalized or custom orders are eligible for return unless we have made an error in order. Do not return any item to us without approval/agreement first. If both are in agreement for exchange or return, buyer accepts all responsibility for cost of shipping to and from. No refunds will be given on any shipping cost. Seller will be charged for returns/exchange a minimum of 10% as orders are made to order, unless specifically agreed otherwise. Some creations may not be custom but the color choices along with some sayings will not resell well for us so again, returns or even exchanges are limited in nature and unfortunately have to be case by case.
Shipping issues...Wrong address or stolen upon delivery
Please make sure that you have entered the right mailing address. you notice the mistake after placing order and we have not shipped it yet, we will update your address so please let us know right away. If you didn't receive your item due to wrong address you provided you will be responsible for re-shipping cost.
Please keep track of your delivery day so you know when its being delivered. Unfortunately, Package Theft is not covered with Shipping insurance and we cannot/will not replace orders or refund orders at our expense.
Do We Automatically Send Layouts for Approval Prior to Making Creation
No. Once an order comes in, we do not send layouts for prior approval of making sign unless you make a specific request in the notes section to seller of the order. When ordering a complete new phrase or saying, we will often times will send a layout but if it is a simple design we may not.
If in doubt and you want to see a final design before we create, that requests needs to be in the NOTES SECTION to SELLER with order. Please, it cannot be in conversations as we get numerous inquires every day and it becomes impossible to match general conversations with the incoming orders. Sorry
