Flapdoodle makes the world go round.

I have been a quilter for years, but I quilt by hand, so they take a very long time to complete. Like all quilters, I had a huge stash of fabric, but it wasn't getting used. I have always loved handmade gifts, so I decided to make a handbag for my sister-in-law for her birthday. She absolutely loved it. Naturally, I had to make bags for every female in my family. My sister had an Etsy shop and she suggested that I start one of my own. From handbags, I moved to accessories, market bags, kindle covers, iPad covers, and more. I began to do local farmer's markets and craft fairs. Many of my customers asked for custom orders and new products were born. I love being able to meet my customers face to face and get feedback for what I create.

I have had different careers in my life, from veterinary technician, to wildlife rehabilitator, to freelance editor, but nothing puts me in the zone like working with my fabric. I have found my bliss!
I am now a member of an artisan co-op in Scituate, Ma. called Expressions. We have 17 members all of whom handcraft gorgeous pieces ranging from jewelry to paintings to birdhouses. Half of my inventory is in the store and the other half is here on Etsy. Needless to say, I must continue to follow my bliss on a daily basis. Life is good!
