I'm a model maker currently working in London. I have been studying art for so many years of my life, then I went to uni to study Special Effects and specialised in props for stop motion - indulging my love of all things mini!

Although model making was my main bag, I always loved illustration and it is when I learnt to marry the two that Hairy Monster was born! Drawing crazy creatures and bringing them to life for you all to enjoy. The first ever creature I made was Yolk (called that because his exposed belly looks like an egg yolk). I'd come up with the name Hairy Monster and decided I needed one to go with it!

All of my creatures come from my invisible forest Icky Woods (yes they're all friends and can hear each other from wherever in the world they are) - a deep and colourful woodland inspired by the beautiful nature in my Yorkshire homeland.

I've always enjoyed the weird and wonderful - taxidermy, gothic style etc so wanted to incorporate that into my work with lil skull faces. The Hairy Monster motto - Cute, but make it spooky.
