I have always been a creative individual ever since I was young. I come from a family of crafty individuals and self-doers. There wasn't anything we couldn't accomplish together. We put our best foot forward and found the way to complete the task with expertise. That is how I run my business.
I have always loved jewelry. Upon receiving a gift of a handmade watch bracelet, I immediately felt the strong urge within to design and handcraft jewelry. That is where my story begins. I rushed to the nearest bead store I could find. Intimidated at first by all of the variety of components, I was drawn to pearls, swarovski crystals and sterling silver. Intended to make a watch bracelet, I came home with all the findings for a white pearl bracelet mixed with swarovski crystals and sterling. I was in love!
I continue to design and handcraft using those components, and have now incorporated gemstones and leather into my creations. I have a workshop just for jewelry making and have made Honeysuckle Jewels into a legalized business that supplies several stores within my community with my handcrafted treasures. I have built up a clientele through many local crafting events and enjoy seeing the many familiar faces and getting to know the new. Honeysuckle Jewels has become my passion. I find inner peace and excitement when designing and creating.
In addition to my business, I enjoy my lovely home with my wonderfully supportive husband, family and friends, nature, farm animals, listening to native american music, smooth jazz, walking the beach, being around water, shopping and touring our hometown of beautiful and scenic Lancaster County.
