Brightening up the San Francisco fog, one piece at a time

Iris Elise Jewelry was born out of frustration with my job situation -- that is, I was an attorney, and I wanted to bring some creativity back into my life. What better way to do that than by making big, funky, bright jewelry?

I grew up making accessories, thanks to my mother and grandmother, and I have a specific personal style. I admire classic fashion, from Chanel to Balenciaga, but I especially love the way a simple outfit can be a showcase for a really bold piece of jewelry.

I am drawn to semi-precious stones, glass, and vintage beads -- no piece is too ugly for me to cut up and upcycle into something new. I find many of my beads at gem shows, thrift stores, and on Etsy, and the San Francisco culture constantly inspires me to keep creating.

This shop was named after my mother, grandmother, and me: all San Francisco Bay Area residents, creative types, and of course, really cool ladies (though I may be biased).
