I started this little graphic design shop earlier in 2020.
For me, 2020 is a beautiful number, a cool place where to begin. Even though it was a rough year, I think we must start in difficulties to get stronger and better.
My name is Jennifer Langevin. I was born in 1997, in a cold December day in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Québec, Canada. Ice everywhere, a hockey game featuring the Montreal Canadiens, snowstorms, they are a part of my birth. But, what was part of my birth also was art. Music and art have been around since I can't remember. My dad draws a lot and loves music. My mom loves gaming, electronic, music also. All of these great passions builded me. I decided to use art in an electronic way.
I started working on Photoshop when I was still in High School. I loved it. I was doing a lot of tutorials (that's how I learned) and I had a fling for photography. I then started a degree in Cégep in visual arts. Didn't like it. Too much painting, drawing and sculpting. I loved art, don't get me wrong. But meh, wasn't very good with my hands.
That's when I came across Oliver's life.
We fell in love and he pushed me to go straight up to my dreams. We then moved a year after in the big ol'city : Montréal. I then started a Cégep degree in Graphic Design. I bought an iPad Pro 2 years after that and started being more interested in illustrations.

Other than that, I am a very reserved person. I love being at home, doing my stuff. I'm a workaholic, definitely and I priorize human contacts and good service with my people, because I'm especially awkward with most persons. I love taking care of my clients and I love doing art. I feel like it's a positive way to build relationships. I fight depression everyday since now 5 years. It's very hard to stay happy and focused, but I try everyday, and I just want to say : don't ever give up. One day, maybe this shop will blow up, maybe it'll work. Let's not give up!
I never had a lot of money, nor a lot of friends. My family was very far from me and it affected me significantly. I builded trust for people who never deserved it. I was disappointed, way too many times. But, my passions made me stay alive. I especially think of graphic design, kpop and South Korea in general, gaming, my cats, music, reading. Oliver. My family. My friends.
J.Lumi Studio, it's all of that. It's passion. It's burning love for what I do. It's cute, it's funny, it may be lovely for some and less important for others. But it's there. And I hope you can enjoy it as much as I do.
