layela was born when I decided to put my drawings in a product form. i absolutely love drawing but had no experience with sewing and clothing structure, etc. with the help of friends and family, i brought my drawings to life! i worked closely with the tailors during my recent trip to ensure designs were made to the full potential, and even crafted some new ones. i learned from a visual experience how much care is put into each manufacturing step, from cutting to sewing and finalizing as well.

i start out with some inspiration for my designs, from the media, magazines, and trends. i work on fashion sketches carefully, which i also just do for fun. i select my best designs, and create references of exact color, sizing and proportion, pattern, and shape. next, these are sent to the workshop so they can follow the reference directions and create the pattern and finally, finished garment. i create samples for each garment and can alter for the specific size chart, and even change color, sleeves, etc. custom made clothes are available here!

layela is very similar to my own style-minimal, classic, and relaxed. i love following trends as well so my clothes are inspired by trends and media. i am a huge supporter of comfy clothing and hope you will find the clothes to be super comfy. i believe that feeling comfortable and confident is just as important as feeling great and stylish, in your own way. i hope you will find this true to the clothing i make as a part of layela.


in addition to design and arts, i’ve always had a passion for helping others, and contributing to improve the world. helping a local community through something i love to do will bring them positive change.

Lahore is filled with skilled artists and talent, and i hope to bring this talent forward by helping the workers. the workers in this workshop in Lahore, Pakistan are talented craftspeople who work hard to create beautiful pieces. their hard work, however, isn’t often enough to fully provide for their households. i want to help expand their opportunities both in and outside of their profession by giving them more support. layela will give 70% of profits to help these workers. this support will benefit them and their families, and help to gradually improve their skill.

i hope this story appeals to you and that you are inspired to help me make a difference in the lives of these hard working people who, just like us have their own families and aspirations.
