I was the student who always got in trouble for doodling in class - but still did it anyway!

Although I now draw a variety of animals, canines are my main subject of choice. Probably because I watched the movie Balto every single day after school and practiced drawing wolves every time I picked up a pencil.

From middle to high school, I was an active Art Club member. I assisted in community murals, participated in every art gallery possible, and helped construct and paint parts of our set for school musicals. At home I continued to draw, paint, and make pet portraits for friends as gifts.

I took a long break from personal art when I went to study New Media at Purchase College. All those essays, group projects, and very long hours in the library were way too exciting!

Early in my Sophomore year I had to say goodbye to my little friend Lucky, a black and white toy poodle. That little dog had been by my side through it all - my sister’s passing, my family moving from crowded Manhattan to a small town upstate, and making new friends. As my Intro to Sculpture final that year, I constructed a paper and wire dog sculpture in Lucky’s memory. It was thereapeutic - and I got an A+! I forgot how much I loved art in general, and I knew I wanted to someday get back to it.

Now, I am an artist and graphic designer. I will draw your pet or design your logo. I will draw your favorite wildlife animal or create the cover for your next single.

The joy of giving someone their final graphic or art piece is a feeling I can’t get enough of.

And life is too short to not do what you enjoy.
