Inspired by her mother, Shanequa Dasher of Dasher Creations, Kayla aspired to be a kidpreneur. She learned to sew at the age of 3 and when the presented the opportunity to open her own business she immediately decided she wanted to do something crafty that utilized her strengths. With a new found love or scrunchies, Kayla decided that a scrunchie and accessory shop was the perfect fit. Amid her scrunchie production, Kayla found a party pack of scrunchies her mother had purchased for a recent birthday, immediately she and her mom decided that the idea of scrunchee slap bracelet might be pretty cool. Not only were they pretty to wear as hair accessories and bracelets, but they were also a solution to being able to achieve the scrunchee look without destroying your ponytail when wearing beads or when hair is extremely long.
