Shipping
I do my best to ship within 1 business day. I send ALL orders by tracked & insured methods, usually via std post services (Royal Mail), which will arrive via your local post service. I have listed ESTIMATED transit times but this can vary so please be patient. Intl orders are subject to customs & security clearance and the time this takes is beyond my control. I only charge for actual postage costs and do refund if I have overestimated these. Please contact me to discuss express options and costs for urgent orders. If the item is undeliverable and returned to us, the buyer is responsible for the resending costs.
Import Duty or Taxes
If you live outside the UK, then your order may be subject to additional import duty or taxes. These vary country by country and I do not know what they will be or at what level they will kick in. If you are unsure, please check with your local tax office before ordering. It is your obligation to meet these fees should they arise. I will only list the actual purchase price on the customs forms. I cannot list the item as a gift. It is illegal for me to do otherwise and would put both the seller (me) and the buyer (you) at risk so please do not ask.
Description/General
I am selling both items from my own personal collection because it has gotten so large over the last 30 years of collecting and items purchased for the shop. I believe we are custodians of vintage clothing and we can enjoy these unique, historical items which are becoming more rare and then pass them on for some other like minded soul to enjoy. It is a common truth that I am only selling so I can keep on collecting. Whilst I am passionate about vintage clothing and accessories and home items, and I am learning all the time, I am no trained expert. I describe everything to the best of my ability: age, faults and so on. I am happy to be corrected. I am happy to provide more photos or answer any questions about an item prior to purchase.

All items are either antique (pre 1920's) or vintage (1920's-1970's) with some newer items including Y2K. Even if never worn or used, antique and vintage items are old and unless they have been stored in temperature and humidity controlled environments since new, will have deteriorated in some way even if you cannot see it. Vintage items should always be treated with extra care. These are not modern fabrics. I can only describe what I see (or smell), but as to how long an item will last with use? That is anyone's guess. To get the best out of your vintage item, treat it as precious. Take care when using or wearing.
About the item...
Generally I do not clean or repair items unless I know what I am doing. I will say in the listing if the item has been cleaned and/or repaired and how. In most cases I do clean it. Otherwise I will steam an item, but generally leave it alone. Items come from a smoke free home. I currently do not have any pets and haven't had any for several years. I will update should that change. Please check the measurements given carefully and compare those to something similar you own. Generally your own measurements should be 1-2 inches smaller than the measurements of the item. Further details will be in item description. If you are unsure, please ask.
Packaging
I have worked in the mail order industry for years so have sent thousands of parcels out. I take great care with packaging. Your item will be carefully wrapped in acid free paper and enclosed in a plastic bag to prevent it getting wet. I do reuse and recycle packaging. There is an awful lot of packaging in the world, not helped by my shopping habit, so I do like to recycle padded bags and boxes and more where possible. I only do so if they are clean and intact. Should your item arrive damaged, please contact me immediately and keep all packaging. Photos will be needed. Please take care when opening a box, especially if using a sharp implement. It is easy to cut straight through packaging and into the item (I have done it myself).
Returns and Problems?
Please contact me. I love vintage and am excited about selling. I am human and any mistakes will be accidental. I do everything I can to be accurate and helpful, but if I get something wrong, I will work to put it right within reason. I value customers (couldn't function without them) and love being part of a community of like minded vintage lovers. I am always happy to answer any questions prior to purchase if you are not sure about anything. Return/Exchanges/Cancellations are not accepted unless I have grossly misrepresented an item. Please note, EU buyers have the right to request a return within 14 days of receiving the item.
Prices
All prices are firm. I can only reserve an item for 24 hours max. Please contact me about setting up a payment plan if needed or use Klarna through Etsy (select as your payment option when you checkout). With Klarna you get the goods now and can make three payments over 60 days. I do layaway of up to 30 days (or less) and the goods are sent upon payment in full. Please contact me to discuss specific details.
