This business started with a craving for a creative outlet, an opportunity to share powerful and comforting words, and a desire to add something good into the world. We want to help you create that cozy atmosphere for those you love, new friends, and nights spent relaxing.

We love small business and handmade products, we want to be an extension of that tradition, all of our products are made from home and by hand in small batches.

CANDLE DETAILS

Candles are perfect for creating a slow, relaxing feel wherever you may go. Our candles are made to do just that, they come in small jars that are easy to pack and lids to keep everything fresh. They are hand poured, soy, and made with fine fragrance oils (phthalate free). Jars are finished with simple sleeves that can easily be removed. We also have the option of a collection with small notes, that range from inspiring to amusing.

As the owner of this business and someone that deals with depression, I’ve wanted to bring something to the table for others when they need a “pick-me-up.” We've created candles bring warmth to your home and joy to your adventures, as well as affirming value and worth.

We love the personal touch and idea that our buyers and employees know we are right there to help and encourage them. We love the idea of creating with our hands, delivering to local shops, and personally packaging our products for buyers.

A Note From Alex, the Owner:

"I started Midland Candle Co while working a job I hated and looking for something creative and business-y (for lack of a better term) todo. From past projects, I knew I loved working with creatives and small businesses. I also knew I loved the idea of a business that REALLY cares for it’s employees and customers. Another reason for opening it was to just put something good in the world - I know that sounds weird and cheesy, but it is what it is. I truly hope the quotes give encouragement to you as you go about your day to day, in your home, or adventure wherever it might be. I'm a big believer in home and making it a safe place (mentally & physically) and as someone who struggles with depression and anxiety (and just as an everyday person) always loved powerful words and notes of kindness. This is kind of my way to bring that to others and get a chance to dabble in the world of good business, which I truly love.
