I have been sewing since I was a small child and have always loved old movies particularly from the 30s-60s. As a young teen i would watch old movies and sketch the outfits. Then in my late teens I worked in a costume shop where I would make simplified versions of film costumes for theater productions and party rentals. After that I co-owned a vintage clothing shop ''Threads in Time'' for 6 years and found that the best dresses were almost always too small and some people were wary of wearing something with so much history. This lead me to start making vintage inspired things in modern sizes, which ended up being our best sellers and I started to get busier with sewing than hunting for vintage. When we made the move to online only and closed the physical shop I moved my studio home and started this Etsy shop called Morningstar84, after a while i noticed many people got the number wrong so changed the name to something easier to remember Morningstar Pinup . Which is why you may see the old name on photos and articles here and there.
Now i'm able to spend more time with my little family and continue creating as well as selling Vintage through my other Etsy shop 'Psychedelic Pinup'

I have over 16yrs professional sewing experience and I drape and draft my own patterns as well as work with vintage patterns. So i can drape a pattern just from a picture. My work has been featured in ''Town magazine'', ''Belle Magazine'', the cover of ''At Home in the Upstate'' and worn by Miss South Carolina. It makes my heart happy to know that my work is all over the world being enjoyed. Creating is my passion, and i hope you enjoy wearing my work as much as i enjoy creating each piece.

I do take custom orders for Women's clothing in all sizes, at Morningstarpinup.com I prefer to create vintage styled items only.
