Where does my small universe come from?

I am a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer from Barcelona, based in Liverpool.

I graduated as a fashion and textiles designer in 2012 but very quickly realised that my passion resided in illustrating. I moved to the UK in 2013 and worked as a surface pattern designer for 5 years.

My freelance journey started in 2018, specialising in children’s illustration. Opening my Etsy shop was one of the first things I did, and my first products were greeting cards. I’ve always loved the close tie between design and illustration in such products, and find it very wholesome to think about people sending each other illustrations by post, handwriting personal messages, whichever the occasion.

I’m constantly thinking about new ideas for cards or other illustrated products. Nature and animals are a big source of inspiration, but also the comfort and joy from everyday moments in life. As my style evolves, I increasingly try to incorporate storytelling into my designs; as an adult, I deeply enjoy picture books and wish their magic was captured in other places too.

I hope you like my work, and that you find all the joy in it that I experienced making it! :)
