We started our Etsy shop in 2012. It's had a lot of names until we landed on Otillia Mae in May of 2020. Otillia is our great grandmother born in 1888, she was the youngest of 12 and little is known about her family other than they immigrated to the US from France in the mid 1800's. Though I have pictures of her, she remains somewhat of a mystery. Mae is the middle name of my grandma Ruth. Both names are unique, just like our products.

Amidst the pandemic, we decided to revive our shop in August 2020 and gave it the current name. I had graphic design experience from high school and I decided to create unique designs that could be personalized, specifically for our brothers and sisters who are Jehovah's Witnesses. We've grown substantially in three months and we are thankful to all who have supported our efforts.

We're a Mom and Daughter team. Mariah has health challenges that prevent her from working and has recently undergone surgery to correct her shunts. I take care of her and my 84 year old father and so this is the perfect job to support us and allow us to keep up with our spiritual routine.

Our products are customized mugs specifically designed for JW's. They feature scriptural sayings, the 2021 year's text and celebrate those going to Pioneer School. We have plans to increase our product offerings to printables in the near future.

There's not much behind the scenes, we print each mug by hand in a small bedroom and a garage but I can tell you we're outgrowing the bedroom with boxes!!!

We are thankful that this business allows us to connect with so many friends, that we dearly love even though we've never met them before.
