My first love aside from my family is vintage, my second love is vintage fabric. I love the hunt, the bright colors, the ideas that start to swirl with what could be made from what was found, forgotten and discarded.
I started sewing when I was expecting my son but I rarely found cost effective prints that I loved or that were unique. I loved to thrift, garage sale and visit estate sales to hunt for vintage anything, and before i knew it I had started a sizable collection of vintage linens. They were beloved to me and I could never, ever fathom cutting them! *gasp!* That collection grew and grew and I then realized that they needed to be utilized. The first items I made were bags to hold my groceries. I thought what a great way to utilize fabric that I love in a planet friendly way. Some of my first customers would beam at site of their childhood bedding remade into something they could use again. Nostalgia had met function.
Shopping bags were fun to make but I wanted to offer more, I've since ventured into pouches, handbags and decor. I love what I make in my home, with my little family. We are all involved, my husband and son are my biggest supporters of my dream. I'm passionate about the planet and I love to rescue fabrics and turn them into something new, fun and functional. Thank you for visiting.
