There I was, in all of my five-year-old glory sitting at our 1980’s oak dining table, up to my eyeballs in stacks of crisp white paper. I was fenced in by an army of razor-sharp colored pencils, scribbling furiously to draw the architectural anomaly I had swirling in my head.

Just imagine -

Sitting atop a colossal building of many levels connected by winding stairs was an oversized, slightly tilted marquee advertising, "Bug Motel." It was a blazing sign to the tiny passing bugs below that they had, indeed, found a cozy respite from long the day. Generally speaking, the bug motel was a sophisticated lodging that boasted a range of amenities and leisure activities on every floor. Accommodating insects of all sizes and leg-counts, it was ritzy living only thirty-seven stair steps or an elevator ride away.


Glorious and worthy of the elementary blue ribbon tacked on the back, the bug motel was the masterpiece of my small human existence and what I imagined would kick off my entrance into the world of building design. For I was an architectural and engineering prodigy. Until I realized bugs don't need a place for recreational activities.

This whole event would be the first time I really remember forming a relationship with art. From then on, it was colored pencils, crayons, paint, and anything that produced color. This eventually evolved into a love of digital art. And here we are.

My passion is to create. Sharing the products of my passion is what fulfills me. Spread love and art. :)
