Making “Stuff” is my passion. I love to create. I love to repurpose. I love to imagine. I love the “What if’s” in life. I love to make people smile. Do what you LOVE and love what you do. It is such a simple way to approach life but it will give you a sense of purpose and contentment.
I am an educator by profession. St. Bernard School in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana has encompassed my teaching career. Teaching art to children for the last 17 years has played a key role in keeping me young at heart and exposed to many different media. It is so much fun to learn a new technique or trade. Creating in my spare time is gratifying and exciting. Born in Dallas Texas and living in Breaux Bridge Louisiana gives my art a rustic, free spirited style infused with culture and southern flair.
I enjoy working with ceramic, wood, leather, metal, fabric, paint, multimedia, recycled components and natural objects. My creativity comes from my Mother Sandy and Grandmother Mazel. We are a family of “Makers” and I wouldn’t want it any other way. My Sister Nicole is also an amazing artist and craftsman. She is the one that encouraged me to follow my passions. Together we are the Rustic Relic Sisters. We travel to festivals around Louisiana and have exclusive jewelry showings at Paul Michael's in Lafayette, Louisiana.
I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do making them. Thank you for taking the time to visit my shop.
