Ever since I was young, I've always created things-- especially jewellery and clothing. Before there was Etsy, I was selling and gifting my creations to people any which way: on the street, at a party, as I created on my living room floor... you name it.
During some of the darker times of my life, I created with a feverish impulse and always with the brightest and most eclectic tokens of fun, happiness, and creativity that I could imagine. I always figured that if you can't feel the light within, you must create it outside as a reminder that the swirling rainbow of bliss never really left you. The form was never really important as some were glass beads, some were expensive silvers, and some were even cheap glow in the dark "pony beads" for those late night festivals of glow sticks and all night dancing. :)
The one thing that has always remained is the meditation of creating a beautiful piece of happiness to cherish and let go just as soon as you have created it. As time has passed, the desire to continue creating has persisted as even more rewarding habits have fallen to the side. Though I sit here much different from the careless child I was when I first started making jewellery and crafts, I am no less enthralled with the process.
Of course we've all grown and as I've grown and continued to sew, knit, write and play with beads, I've also started making more foods myself and learning other crafts of a more earthy nature. My interests evolved to include people I love-- like my children-- and the need to provide for them the highest form of bliss encouraged me to take my interests to new places as well.
Learning the healing properties of herbs allowed me to create healthy alternatives to the items I would typically look for in a store-- herbal Icy Hot, headache relief, and so on-- and so I've also used my creative juices to make delicious raw and vegan alternatives to mainstream foods, healing herbal salves, balms and essential oil blends, and yoga exercise manuals that help with all parts of the body, mind and spirit.
I've created this retail space no different than I would if you were a friend coming to see what I've been up to and, as my friends will attest, these are all the things that they get to see me do and offer up to them as well! Some of these things are even inspired by friends and family who asked me for a creation at some point and so many enjoyed it that I figured I would offer it up to a larger audience.
As the saying goes: mi casa e su casa. Just as you would find if you visited my house, so you will find in my Etsy shop. :)
With that said, I hope that you will enjoy the evolution of myself through my love for fashion, health, and creation and find something within the products for your journey as I continue to build my online presence and desire to help, heal, and inspire happiness as best I can.
