In Bulgarian, шевица [ she'vitza ] is a word used to describe traditional hand-made embroidery. And that's what lies in the heart of my brand - the authentic motives I find in antique books and ethnographic museums. Only I never replicate. On the contrary - I do my best to interpret the figures in a contemporary way, all the while respecting their integrity and always explaining their meaning and geographic origin.

Shop policies
Shevitza brings traditional motifs to modern life using high quality fabrics. I want to create a new place and meaning for antique folklore patterns our contemporary lives.
Everything you can see here has been inspired by Bulgaria’s authentic folk costume needle work. I found each of these patterns in antique books and etnographic museums.

I use Priority shipping for all of my items:
✈ Shipping to USA & Canada ~ 10-14 days
✈ Shipping to EU ~5-7 days
✈Shipping to Australia, NZ ~10-15 biz days
By default items are shipped to your Etsy account’s address. If you want it shipped somewhere else or as a gift, please let me know.
Please keep in mind that there might be delays due to customs proceedings or holidays. Such cases are highly unlikely but I am always available in any situation to keep in touch and speed things up as much as possible.
