I always begin my process with sketches and looking at reference imagery or even the real thing if I can get my hands on it. I then move to a more finalized drawing that I use as the base for my final work. I tend to work large which comes in handy when things need to be downsized or upsized. I tend to favor working in graphite, watercolor and colored pencil. After lots and lots of practice I've learned how to use the material to my advantage. But I am still experimenting.

I use both traditional and digital techniques when creating my pieces, I find that digital programs like Photoshop help aid my creativity and let me experiment to an even greater extent than just traditional media. I believe this only aids to the creation of my illustrations rather than hindering it.

Printmaking is one of my new favorite things and I hope to continue this exploration with a series of lino-cut stamps (whenever I find the time). I recently took an etching class where I learned how to use multiple methods to etch copper plates. It was one of the most fascinating and challenging courses I've taken but it was so much fun to experiment and play.

I spent three years working in a print shop while in school. With this knowledge, everything I sell is printed by myself. I hand select my papers and test each illustration with different color calibrations before selecting the final print.

I love when people can enjoy, laugh and find comfort in my work. I have lots of plans for the future and lots of products I would like to produce.
