Announcement    Save the world by supporting sustainable fashion while looking cute.

VTG//LMTD//OOAK
vintage//limited edition// one of a kind
These are the types of garments Shred Threads specializes in.

Shred Threads is a one woman show. Created and curated in a small home studio in Los Angeles. I seek to promote sustainability and recycling to the fashion community by sourcing vintage from around the country to designing garments made from deadstock fabric. Check out below to understand a little but more about how I promote sustainability and recycling to my shop process.

What is Deadstock fabric?
When a fashion house overestimates their fabric needs, they seek to get rid of their post season inventory. Thus sold to textile "jobbers", the fabric becomes Deadstock. Since the quantities per each fabric style are from reserved stock, this makes the production limited.

Why Vintage and Deadstock?
Buying vintage garments and items made from deadstock fabric is the most sustainable way to shop. Did you know that up to 20% of the industrial water pollution comes solely from the fashion industry? The fast fashion industry is the second worst pollutant in the world.

I am a fan of Mother Earth and Shred Threads is my outlet to keep it real with Vintage, Limited runs and One of a Kind garments.

Say NO to cheap labor, unfair production practices and excess water waste.
Say YES to Vintage=Deadstock fabric=Limited Edition=Being OOAK

Shred Threads is VTG//LMTD//OOAK

Creep it real.
