Southern Lit luminaries are made with soy wax from North Carolina and artisan blended fragrance from Texas. They are hand-poured in Georgia. Our principles, approach, and priorities gain inspiration from travels to Alabama. South Carolina and Virginia are both home away from home. Each candle tells a story.
We are committed to using Southern materials and ingredients, to sourcing the containers through regional non profits - endowing the expense with a philanthropic mission, and to fundraising that honors those who inspire us.
"She would rather light candles than curse the darkness and her glow has warmed the world."
Adlai Stevenson, Eulogy of Eleanor Roosevelt, November 7, 1962
Our premier scent is called Bourbon & Branch. It was created specifically to be poured in vintage rocks glasses, which are collectively called "Tipsy Torches." The fragrance is born of notes you'd experience at a great bourbon tasting: Caramel Fleur de Sel, Vintage Leather, and Cracked Walnut with hints of Plum & Vanilla. Individually, the Tipsy Torches are categorized by one of the great Muses of Southern Literature - in celebration of their character.
Additionally, our Atelier provides Bespoke Services to Restaurants, Design & Event professionals, and Happy Couples on their wedding day!
New to the Shop... Sniff Notes: scents that draw direct inspiration from classic Southern Literature: Hemingway's camp in the woods, O'Connor's Hulga Hopewell, and more!.
All of this . . . to "Warm the World." Light a candle with us.
