After graduating from The Ohio State University with a degree in Ceramics I moved to Minneapolis to live in a very small apartment. Here I continued to work on whatever various projects popped into my head. One year I made some simple cut out snowflake Christmas cards for friends and family. This led me to try this with a piece of black paper.
After three years of cutting every now and then I had collected quite a few, and decided that this finally was "the thing" that I was going to do. I moved back to Ohio, got married, and started living in a house with a whole room devoted to my art supplies. With some help from my dad, who made his living as a craftsman, I made a booth, bought a van, and started selling my work at art festivals.
Like many artists I have no trouble working when it comes to creating. The selling part however is much more of a challenge. I have been a very sporadic Etsy member. But now I am moving again, this time to a house that we own! And I think a new place can help establish new habits. So my goal is to become a much better Etsy seller.
