We are the home of Blind Date with a Book and other fun bookish materials! New books are uploaded almost every day! New themes for blind dates are always being added so keep checking back for new inventory!
SHIPPING: All orders use calculated shipping for our new and used books and blind date with a book. FREE SHIPPING when you spend $35! Most of the time our orders ship out between 1-4 business days of purchase (sometimes sooner!). You will notice that sometimes shipping times are pushed out to 2 weeks or more - this means we either have a lot of orders coming in (holiday season, November - December) or I am on vacation (there will be a notice in this case at the top of this announcement). Tracking is always provided for books and shirt orders and shipping times can vary due to the postal service. All stickers and bookmarks will be sent via stamp so no tracking will be provided unless you upgrade shipping to First Class. Once your package is handed over to USPS, we have no control over it. If your order is delayed or missing - please contact the postal service. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything once your package has been shipped.
CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES: Please issue your cancellation request within 24 hours of your purchase. After 24 hours - your order has been started and cannot be canceled due to all orders being custom-made with personalizing effects on them. We do not accept any returns or exchanges because each order is custom-made per person. If there is a problem with your order, please reach out and our customer service representative will respond as soon as possible to fix this error!
We take pride in our store and love what we do! Spellbound Books is a woman-owned small business that started with a stay-at-home mom selling her used books so she could stay home with her daughter! Our owner, Katie, loves to read and is knowledgeable about many different books to be able to choose the right book for you! 5 out of 5 starsI really like mystery books because it gets me out of my rut of not being able to choose a book to read. It's also fun to get the cute packaging! I was gifted a bookmark upgrade for leaving a good review which was very kind and they certainly are nice bookmarks! 😊 My only issue, as stated in the first review is that shipping is a little slow. I placed an order on April 3rd and about 2 1/2 weeks later I received my order on April 20th. Make sure to buy accordingly! ☺️ Overall a great product! Thank you! 🩷

5 out of 5 starsThis was so much fun. My sister and I decided to order these and read them together weekly. As someone who loves to read but cannot make a decision on what to read to save her life, this was a fun way to get something I wouldn't have picked, in my hands. Not only was the packaging SO cute and fun, the bookmark is adorable, and the book was such a good read. I wish I had taken a picture of it all wrapped up, but I was much too excited to not rip it open the second it came! ☺️ Another one in the Goodreads app & just reordered my next blind date with a book! Shipping does take a while, I messaged the seller toward the end of the estimated arrival dates as it hadn't shipped yet and she promptly responded that they've been quite busy, and that it would arrive in the next couple of days, which it did. Thank you so much!!

What if I get a book I already own?
Unfortunately due to the amount of orders we receive, we cannot accept refunds or exchanges for receiving a book you have already read or own. To make sure this doesn't happen, please provide us with your Goodreads link (or other similar list of books) and we will avoid any books on your Read or Owned list!
When will my order ship?
We try our best to ship out your order as soon as possible. That being said, we are a small team that works as fast as we can to get your order to you. Please check our announcements at the top of our page to check our current shipping times. Thanks for your support!
I ordered a book that is one genre, but it also encompasses another genre as well.
Books frequently cover more than one genre at a time. We do our best to match you with a book that is the right genre that you picked. That being said, some mystery books may also be thrillers, some historical fiction books may also be romances, and so on. Our scanning software used to place genre matches our books with the top genre they are categorized as.
Can I request a specific author and/or trope?
You can request specific types of books or authors. We will do our best to match you with a book you will enjoy. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we will have a perfect book and can only guarantee genre.
What if my order gets sent back to you by the post office?
Sometimes this happens if the address is slightly wrong or the apartment number is off. Unfortunately, if this happens you will have to have it reshipped to you. We can reship it to the address if you pay for the shipping due to us already paying for shipping the first time. Sorry for the inconvience.
What if my book is in the middle of a series?
It is actually pretty common for books to be a part of a rather large series and still can be read as a standalone. This is common with mysteries, thrillers, horror, romance, and some children's & young adult books. We try our best to make sure that if your book is in a series it is a standalone!
