This is the first zine in my collection and I am in love with it! Avy's renderings are masterful. So much depth in the expressions that can only result from a skilled hand.

The book is hella raw! We live in a world of grind culture that asks each one of us to disconnect, desensitize & sanitize our feelings for others. How are you doing? When was the last time you answered this question honestly? When was the last time you asked that question fully prepared for a real answer? The opening pages of this book gave me cause to pause. I sat with it, felt my feels, absorbed, reflected, asked questions, pondered answers, and now I’m sharing it with everyone I love. My partner and I had an hour long conversation sparked by the power of the images and words in this book. The very act of the artist sharing something this intimate, I consider a sacred offering of love to humanity and an invitation to anyone open to being vulnerable, unashamed, perfectly imperfect & inspired to heal. I opened the package and immediately sat down and read this zine. It is a really touching reminder about how strange and intense the early window of the pandemic was. I think it is important for us to remember what it was like when we had so little information and the death counts were so high. Thank you for recording your experiences. They're important.
