Thanks for visiting! Gail
A NOTE ABOUT COPPER: Copper is a metal that changes color very easily, and develops a patina. Even when sealed, copper will eventually turn darker brown or verdigris. There are many environmental factors that impact how quickly this happens. This is expected and not considered a fault. If you want to keep your copper bright and shiny you will need to use a copper cleaner. This will result in a raw but bright copper that will continue to darken over time - sometimes quickly. You can apply clear coats like lacquer, acrylic or wax that will slow down the process. Oxidized or antiqued copper seems to have the least amount of color change, although it can continue to darken. Usually a light polish with fine steel wool will bring up a shine and some copper highlights.
