I have 3 tunics in this pattern and I love them all! They are well made, comfortable, flattering while being modest, with a generous fit. The fabric is soft and washes up well, with minimal pilling. Tangente dispatches their creations quickly and they arrive well packaged in a secure manner. I would really like to purchase more tunics like this in other colours and motifs. On a tangent

I started sewing almost 10 years ago while I was a Respiratory Therapist. I bought my first sewing machine and started sewing up a storm. After a while, I needed to learn more so I signed-up for classes to learn how to make patterns.

A year later, the opportunity arose to open up a studio with some fellow designers. I took the leap, quit my job and created "tangente" (which is the french spelling of tangent). At the studio, I did a wide range of jobs from alterations to costume design for local films all while trying to make samples for my very first collection.

My first collection was sold in a few stores locally. After a year at the studio, I was offered a desk job with a stable pay check. I jumped at the chance, closed the studio and put designing on the back burner for a while. A few years later, I realized I could never do a desk job for the rest of my life and I started selling on Etsy. At first I sold some supplies and older inventory but after my first sale, I was hooked. I dusted off my old sewing machine and began designing new styles. Now 7 years later, I finally quit my desk job to concentrate on selling on Etsy full-time.
