My work doesn't start in the studio; it starts outdoors. Nature has always been my primary source of inspiration, and I spend as much of my free time as possible exploring lakes, rivers, forests and swamps, collecting artifacts, memories, and ideas.
Though I work full time as a freelance illustrator, making money has never been my focus. What I care about most is sharing my observations and perspectives with the world through illustration. The most sincere way I can express myself is by creating work that is packed with the details I find in the world around me, the moods of seasons and weathers and times of the day, and the joy I have found in recognizing that we are part of an infinitely complex and beautifully synchronized whole. I hope that the pieces in my shop can remind you of those kinds of feelings too.
