Hello! My name is Janet. Welcome to my little headband shop - House of Garland. :)

I have always been living in the garment and fashion industry. I grew up in a family business that produced fashion forward clothing. After graduating from college, I decided I needed to go to a fashion school to learn more about the industry. During the time, I have interned with various local designers in Canada, and currently working as a production manager for clothing brands in Australia, and New Zealand. I've always worked on creating great clothing for our customers. The more I worked, the more I wanted to be able to participate in the creative, design side instead of the detail-oriented production side.

Recently, I felt the need to create something of my own for girls like me who want to add a little something to their outfit. Nothing too loud, just something subtle like a small accessory. I have always been clueless in how to style my hair during weddings and parties. My go-to styles are always a simple ponytail or a chignon... or simply with a fancy headband when I'm in a rush. I have been having difficulties finding affordable yet fancy enough headbands for work parties and weddings. With that creative spirit in my heart, the House of Garland was born.

Due to my work nature, I'm fortunate to know where I could get beautiful rhinestones and beadworks from my suppliers, so I'm able to create beautiful headbands with. I get motivated when people noticed and complimented my headbands, especially when I'm wearing them out as a "human billboard".
