The stitches tell the story

My work is inspired by nature, particularly the woods and countryside near my home.

I began embroidering as a teenager and quickly found that following patterns and mastering line work were not in the cards for me. I was much more interested in the stories that the stiches had to tell, in creating small worlds with thread.

Milk Lake began as a space to sell my handmade patches inspired by the lyrics of Joanna Newsom and has since evolved into a place for all my embroidered day dreams.
