This shop, The Wire Peacock, was a long time in the making! Years ago, I found a book in the library full of simple jewelry projects, and I was hooked! Since that time, I have invested in supplies, then tools, and now a serious amount of time and persistance to get where I am today.
At first, jewelry making was one of my many hobbies, including origami and making 'paint' from any and all berries I could find outside, but soon it grew into a passion, and I began to look for a reason to make more. This landed me in several small craft venues designed for kids and teens, and eventually a full-fledged craft market. I even worked at a fine, custom jewelry store for over a year during high school to learn about the 'real' jewelry world, and I learned a lot that has made me a much wiser person!
When I finally discovered Etsy, I knew that I wanted to be a part of such a great community, but was unsure of how to make that happen, especially once I started college and had to figure out this whole living on my own nonsense! But now, after many months of planning (and we're talking micro, intense, worried planning) and some serious brainstorming for a name, The Wire Peacock is finally open, and I couldn't be more excited and ready to go!
