My name is Courtney DelaCruz. I am 27 years old and I have Type 2 diabetes. I watched diabetes deteriorate my dad until he passed away in 2014 at the age of 43. Diabetes leads to so many complications and I never really understood what it was and what you could do about it until I got it myself in 2017. I started my blog, The Young and Diabetic, to help educate people about diabetes and how to hopefully manage it and bring it under control. My blog has also been a way for me to help manage my own diabetes in a way. I opened this shop to help me make money to run my blog and also donate towards diabetes research while also offering really cool stickers and hopefully other merchandise later on. If you have or know someone who has diabetes, then you know just how this disease can affect someone and how alone you can feel sometimes.
