To quote John Mellencamp, "I was born in a small town, and I live in a small town..." Asserting my independence at an early age, I could often be found wandering through field and forest, faithful dog at my side and sketchbook in hand. When I grew up a little bit, I was graced with the good fortune to study both Illustration and Animation at Sheridan College, but dropped out before obtaining my diploma.
After many more years of growing older (but never quite growing up!), in the spring of 2016, I opened a pottery in a friend's old barn, and haven't looked back since. Most days will find me elbows deep in mud or some other pottery-related pursuit. Much of my work reflects my love of nature, showing an affinity for animals in particular. But there is a deep vein of quirk that runs through my being, every now and then finding release in the form of Rainbow Farting Unicorns and other whimsical things that may capture my imagination.
I have the great fortune of being able to live and work on the beautiful property I opened the studio on, and none of it would be possible without the support and assistance of my dear friend (and silent partner), Janet, and her family, who are now my extended family, too! Love you guys!
